Our founder, J.W. Brown, has spent his entire life in Central Kentucky. He began his insurance career as a Claims Adjuster after graduating from Georgetown College in 2008. He learned the basics of insurance contracts, the significance of high-quality customer service, and the importance of being there for a customer in their time of need. Wanting to explore the other side of the insurance business and the corporate world, he returned to graduate school to earn his MBA and that opened the door to additional opportunities in the sales organization. He thrived as a Territory Sales Manager through establishing trusting relationships, building credibility as a product expert, and leading his team and territory through years of profitable and substantial growth.
J.W. spent 13.5 years working for a Fortune 500 Insurance Company and one of the largest insurance companies in the United States. He excels in customer interaction and counseling customers on their needs, which led to his desire to start the Midway Insurance Group.
J.W. is passionate about his family and helping people. He and his wife, Rachel, reside in Midway, KY with their beautiful daughter Edith. He loves meeting and networking with people, anything outdoors (and his green lawn), and the Kentucky Wildcats.
